Checklist card dropping TOMORROW!

CHECKLIST YOURSELF BEFORE YOU WRECKLIST YOURSELF

If you collected my Project 70 set of collectible baseball cards, which were all inspired by actual vintage baseball cards, you may have noticed that there was SOMETHING missing from the set, given the inspiration. Ok, maybe you think there was a LOT missing if I didn’t include your favorite player or team but that was out of my feeble corporate-overlord-wrangled control. BUT what is a vintage card set without a VINTAGE CHECKLIST CARD? The answer: IT’S INCOMPLETE!

So what did I do? Well, first off, I designed a checklist card that I felt encompassed the entire set of Brightmare Baseball cards. Since each of the cards in the series were inspired by specific vintage baseball cards, I used an iconic vintage TOPPS baseball card WRAPPER from 1959 as inspiration to design a new card. Here’s the original packaging that I used for inspiration alongside my loose concept sketch for what I wanted to make for the checklist card.

Then, I released a limited edition of 1000 of these First Edition Checklist cards exclusively at Comic Con last month and, to my complete surprise, they all sold out!

But….this is NOT where the story ends.

Because NOW (or at least, TOMORROW), you have ONE MORE chance to finally complete your set (or you can just collect a rad little vintage card) with my SECOND-EDITION limited timed-release BRIGHTMARES CHECKLIST CARD VARIANT dropping exclusively on VARIANTZTOMORROW, August 31st, at 12 PM PST / 3PM EST and will be an open-timed edition that will be available ONLY until September 2nd at 12 PM PST.

$10 per card (No limit on quantity purchases)

This card is a VARIANT of the first edition Yellow & Red Sold Out Comic Con card. This second-edition variant you will be pre-ordering looks like THIS:

This is a PRE-ORDER! The final Print Run of this base card is determined by the number of cards sold. Cards will go right into production once the sale has ended on Friday.

But the story STILL doesn’t end there! BECAUSE THERE WILL BE ADDITIONAL VARIANT CARDS WITHIN THE PRINT RUN!

And we are trying something fun for the print run where the amount of Variant cards within the run are determined by YOU….

- For every 20 base cards sold, the first Variant card will spawn and be randomly inserted in the print run. (1:20 odds) (This variant will be revealed later today)

- For every 75 base cards sold, an ultra-rare "concept card" (shown above) will spawn and is autographed by ME (Alex Pardee) and will be randomly inserted in the print run. (1:75 odds)

- These Variantz will be included as an EXTRA card in your order. Each variant will be randomly inserted into orders, so you are not guaranteed to get one.

*Also, this release is separate from the "BRIGHTMARES" companion series which is why we decided to do things a bit differently!

Anyway, it’s a fun experiment and I’m excited that we can finally offer the Checklist card to everyone who missed out on the Comic Con drop!

Don’t miss out! It will ONLY be available HERE on VARIANTZ from Weds, August 31st at 12 PM PST to FRIDAY, September 2nd at 12 PM PST.

Thank you for collecting!
